“Bill Clinton’s foundation doled out $2 million to a power company partly owned by a wealthy blond divorcée about whom questions have been raised as to whether she is the frequent visitor to his home nicknamed ‘Energizer,” writes the Post.
Beyond McMahon, the Nebraska-based firm was founded and has been run by former Democratic Congressional candidate Scott Kleeb, according to Securities and Exchange Commission documents. Weiner, a top Democratic fundraiser and close political ally of the Clintons has an ownership interest in Pioneer Energy, but he is not listed as an officer of the company according to SEC documents.
Weiner is one of the most influential political fundraisers in the Democratic party. His bio states, "Weiner is the founder of Financial Innovations, Inc., one of the largest political mass-marketing firms in the United States. Mr. Weiner and Financial Innovations are highly visible in the political arenas on local, national, and international levels, managing the merchandising efforts of numerous national organizations and conventions."
