Mark Weiner's Horse Beats American Pharoah at Saratoga

Keen Ice
Keen Ice, owned by Rhode Island Democratic Strategist Mark Weiner, has defeated Triple Crown winner American Pharoah on Saturday at Saratoga Race Course during the Travers Stakes.

American Pharoah came into the race as the favorite but lost the lead while entering the far turn and was unable to catch up. Only four Triple Crown winners have ridden in and won the Travers Stakes, the last being Whirlaway in 1941.
