GRAPHIC Election 2014: Democrats Least Likely To Pull Master Lever

 

Everything you have heard about Democrats only winning because of the Master Lever may not be true. Accroding to RI political myth, Democrats win because too many uneducated voters follow their party blindly.

The results from the 2014 Election show a different reality.

While numerically more Democrats pulled the Master Lever - by percentage it is not close.  Below are how many master lever votes cast by party, followed by what that represents of total regestered party members for that party. 

Democrats: 33,867   (10.9%)

GOP: 11,116   (13.6%)

Moderate Party: 6986   (367%)

According to data provided by Bob Kando at the Rhode Island Board of Election, Democrats are the least likely to vote by Master Lever. 

"The Moderate Party has always had more people use the lever than be registered party members," said Robert Kando.
