Ten Democratic candidates took the stage in Detroit in the second round of the debates.

The moderates took aim at the two progressive frontrunners in the race, Senators. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Former Rep. John Delaney called their progressive ideas “dead on arrival” and the policies "fairy tale economics."

Warren shot back,  "I don’t understand why anybody goes to all the trouble of running for president of the United States just to talk about what we really can’t do and shouldn’t fight for. I don't get it."

The issue of Medicare For All also split the candidates. Sanders explained how the plan would be "comprehensive" for union members. Rep. Tim Ryan interrupted Sanders and said he "didn't know that."

Sanders fired back: "I do know that — I wrote the damn bill."

Marianne Williamson spoke on racism in America, calling it a "dark psychic force of the collectivized hatred that this president is bringing up in this country."

Williamson also said she supported a plan to give $500 billion to the descendants of slaves as reparations.
