Indivisible RI & RI Progressive Democrats Endorse Brown for Governor
The endorsement comes one day after the Rhode Island Progressive Democrats endorsed Brown.
“In Trump's America, Rhode Island needs a governor that will stand up to the Trump administration - not copy and paste its worst ideas. Raimondo has gutted pensions and, like Trump, slashed Medicaid. Her oversight of UHIP hurt the state's most vulnerable. Matt Brown will stand up for working families, now and after November,” said Andy Acciaioli, Indivisible RI’s founder and executive director.

We think he is the candidate best positioned to take on and win against the Republicans and the disastrous Trump agenda in November.”
Brown already has endorsements from Justice Democrats, Our Revolution RI, and Climate Action Rhode Island.
“It’s a great honor to be endorsed by Indivisible and Progressive Dems, who are doing some of the most important organizing and activist work in our state. Together, we’ll build a Rhode Island that works for everyone, not just corporations and the wealthiest few,” Brown said.
Roselli Backs Brown
Last week, Paul Roselli dropped out of the gubernatorial race to run for a seat in the Rhode Island Senate.
In his statement, Roselli endorsed Brown for governor.
“If Gina Raimondo wins the primary, Raimondo will lose the general election. It is therefore imperative that the Democrats put forward an alternative candidate and in the interests of the party I am stepping aside from this race to give Matt Brown the best possible chance of winning the primary and thus giving the party the best chance of a win in the General Election,” said Roselli.
