Chafee Expands Transition Team

Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee yesterday said he had added three new people to his transition team—Margaret Holland McDuff, Claire Richards, and John Simmons.

McDuff is CEO of Family Service of Rhode Island. She is also the founder and president of the Ocean State Network for Children and Families and founder and treasurer for the Quality Care Company.

Simmons is the executive director of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council and the former Director of Administration for the City of Providence. He also is the former Chief Finance Officer for the City of Boston. His appointment comes the day after RIPEC issued a report urging the incoming governor to work with the General Assembly to prepare for the implementation of health care reform.
