Chafee Says He's Open to Another Presidential Bid -- as a Libertarian

"I'm very motivated as an anti-war American, and also by the deficit,” said Chafee in an interview with the Daily Beast. “Those are two big issues that, if the Libertarian convention next summer thinks that someone with a long record on those issues... if I fit that, then yes, I'd be open to that."
Chafee did not immediately respond to request for further comment.

After serving as a Republican United States Senator and then an independent-turned-Democratic Rhode Island Governor, Chafee announced he was running for President in the Democratic primary in April 2015.
"Leading Washington Political Expert: Chafee’s Chances for President are 'Zero,'" GoLocalProv.com reported at his announcement.
He ended his campaign in October 2015.
Earlier this year, Chafee moved from Rhode Island to Wyoming -- and in July, he officially switched his party affiliation to Libertarian.
