Clean Water Action Endorses Chafee, Local Candidates

Clean Water Action, a 1.2-million member national environmental advocacy organization, has endorsed independent Lincoln Chafee for governor.

“We are proud to endorse former Sen. Chafee for Governor. He has a long track record of leadership in protecting our environment in ways that promote healthy economic development. Chafee has demonstrated his understanding that cleaning up old industrial sites, promoting renewable energy and increasing recycling all strengthen our economy while creating a healthier environment,” said Sheila Dormody, Rhode Island director of Clean Water Action. “Clean Water Action trusts Lincoln Chafee to lead the state in developing a clean energy future and a green economy that will benefit all Rhode Islanders.”
