Frias Refuses to Disavow Trump’s Open Mic Comments

Frias refuses to comment on the Trump comments
RI’s GOP National Committeeman Steve Frias refuses to answer repeated questions if he will continue to vote for Donald Trump.

Frias, who is running for the House of Representative in District 15 against the Speaker of the House, has previously said he will vote for the GOP Presidential nominee.

Frias has refused to return phone calls or respond to emails regarding his views of Trump’s comments. On Friday, the Washington Post reported:

“Donald Trump bragged in vulgar terms about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women during a 2005 conversation caught on a hot microphone, saying that “when you’re a star, they let you do it,” according to a video obtained by The Washington Post.

The video captures Trump talking with Billy Bush, then of “Access Hollywood,” on a bus with the show’s name written across the side. They were arriving on the set of “Days of Our Lives” to tape a segment about Trump’s cameo on the soap opera.”

Since the tape became public, numerous national leading Republicans have announced that they will no longer support Trump’s candidacy for President — these include U.S. Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Kelly Ayotte (NH).
