Jeff Britt: 14 To Watch in Rhode Island in 2014

Jeff Britt
While much of the 2014 gubernatorial campaign season will be played out in public view, one of the most influential political power brokers in the sate will continue to operate behind the scenes, and have a major role in what promises to be a heated election.

Jeff Britt, who served as a former paid consultant to Speaker of the House Gordon Fox, famously split with his former boss over the handling of 38 Studios to back Fox's opponent Mark Binder in 2012. Now, Britt is working for Republican—and former Moderate Party—gubernatorial candidate Ken Block as he prepares to square off against Cranston Mayor Allan Fung in what could be a hotly contested primary.

Like most in the political operative world, Britt has lists of friends and enemies a mile long. But make no mistake about it, Britt is an opposition researcher -- and operative -- to be reckoned with.
