Jeffrey Angelo Announces Candidacy for Ward 5 City Council Seat

Providence resident and Rhode Island College alum Jeffrey Angelo is running as a Democrat for the Ward 5 seat on the Providence City Council.

“I plan to bring my dedication to public service and love of this neighborhood to the office and will serve my constituents with commitment and a tireless work ethic”, said Angelo. “We need to protect taxpayers from any increase to an already onerous tax burden and to insure that our resources are spent wisely.”

The 28-year-old Angelo is an Information Technology Specialist with Tri-Town Community Action Agency.  He cites responsible governing and tax protection as his chief political issues.

“I will work to insure that city government is responsive and that we operate within our means.   I will not vote to increase property taxes for homeowners,” Angelo declared.
