Loughlin Would Renew Bush Tax Cuts

Republican Congressional candidate John Loughlin today said he would vote to renew the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts and called on his Democratic opponent, Providence Mayor David Cicilline, to do the same.

“I pledge that I will not vote to raise taxes on any Rhode Islander, plan and simple,” said John Loughlin. “To raise taxes on anyone - including investors and small businesses - in the midst of a recession is a major mistake.”

The tax cuts are set to expire next year.
