Magaziner in 1st Term

In his first term, Magaziner automatically reunited over 40,000 Rhode Islanders with their missing money, and launched the Back to Basics investment strategy that has earned more than $1 billion for the state pension system.

Magaziner is also working to make a once-in-a-generation investment repairing Rhode Island’s public school buildings.

The plan includes $1 billion in investments over the next five years and the goal is to ensure every student in Rhode Island goes to a school that is warm, safe, dry and equipped for 21st-century learning.

Magaziner shared his announcement via a video on Facebook.
