Mattiello’s new mailer highlights his bread-and-butter message of delivering for the district.

It claims he is a champion for schools bringing in $130 million in funding and reinforces his message that he has cut car taxes for Cranston residents.

In contrast, Fenton-Fung slams Mattiello for his ties to political corruption. The piece is almost identical to a mailer previous GOP candidate Steve Frias put out in his losing campaign.

Fenton-Fung highlights that Mattiello's former political consultant Jeff Britt faces trial, now scheduled for October 5 in Superior Court.

In Tuesday's primaries both candidates ran unopposed, Fenton-Fung received 1.086 in the GOP primary and Mattiello received 816 votes in the Democratic primary.
