NEW: Caprio Picks Up Almonte Supporters in Treasurer's Race

Democratic candidate for General Treasurer Frank Caprio has announced he has picked up previous supporters for Ernie Almonte, who switched Wednesday from Democrat to Independent in the race, as well as new ones. 

In an announcement from Caprio's camp, the following were listed as "RI City and Town Democratic Chairs of committees that previously backed Almonte or didn't endorse [who] now support Frank Caprio."

John Faria, Chair, East Providence
Robert Farrell, Chair, Warwick
Lawrence Mancini, Chair, North Smithfield
Matthew Leonard, Chair, North Kingstown
