I’m Amy Kennedy and I just announced my campaign to challenge Congressman Jeff Van Drew here in South Jersey. I believe that too many of our leaders like Trump and Van Drew have lost their moral compass and are serving themselves, not the people they are elected to represent,” said Kennedy in a statement.
She added, “Doing what’s right shouldn’t be complicated. Treat people with respect and compassion -- and always look out for others, not just yourself. Join me in the fight to take back New Jersey’s 2nd district from Trump’s newest yes man Jeff Van Drew.”
Back in December, GoLocalProv’s Kate Nagle caught up with Patrick Kennedy who was in Providence to support his cousin Joe Kennedy’s run for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts.
“We’re not living through anything like ordinary times. These are among the most tumultuous times we’ll ever see in the life of our nation, when you think about the norms that have been cast aside, the belief in our democratic processes that are being disregarded,” said Kennedy. “And so we really need to mount a commensurate effort to promote those great Democratic traditions and values that have made our country the great country that everyone else in the world looks to for leadership."
