VIDEO: Raimondo, Moffit Need to Comment on McKinsey Saudi Report, Says Fung

Allan Fung
Rhode Island Republican gubernatorial candidate and Cranston Mayor Allan Fung raised questions on Monday on Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo and First Gentleman Andy Moffit's reluctance to answer questions about the report produced -- and released -- by Moffit's firm McKinsey about Saudi dissidents.

As GoLocal was first to report, "Governor Gina Raimondo’s husband Andrew Moffit is a Senior Solution Leader at McKinsey & Company. Moffit’s firm created a report that identified Saudi dissidents that were influential and a potential threat to the absolute monarchy.

"As we've seen from day one with this Governor, same old, same old," said Fung. "She's been bought and sold and in this case $60,000 worth of donations from these out of state interests, big corporate national companies [and] one that her husband works for. I think both of them have to answer the question of what involvement, if any the First Gentleman had with that report -- and, or its distribution because I think all of us have questions."

"She wants to make this a national race? Why won't she answer questions on this national -- or international -- one that has serious consequences to individuals overseas that her husband's compan played a hand in possibly distributint that report," said Fung.
