NEW: RI General Assembly Subpoenas Withdrawn in 38 Studios Case

Subpoenas issued to Rhode Island General Assembly legislators in the 38 Studios case have been withdrawn, House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello confirmed.

"I have received word this morning that the law firm representing Adler Pollock & Sheehan has withdrawn the subpoenas it was preparing for members of the General Assembly to offer deposition testimony in the civil litigation involving the Job Creation Guarantee Program of 2010," Mattiello said. "As I informed you on Saturday, one House member had been served, and a second House member was contacted by a constable yesterday.  However, I was informed this morning that those have been withdrawn."
