Newport Republican Town Committee endorses Robert Flanders for U.S. Senate
The Newport Republican Town Committee has endorsed Judge Robert Flanders for U.S. Senate in his race against incumbent Sheldon Whitehouse.

"He's ready for primetime, and he will lead us to victory. The vote was unanimous," said Larry Girouard, Chairman of the Newport Republican Town Committee.

The endorsement comes before the June 27 Republican nominating convention.

This marks the second endorsement that Flanders has received, following the endorsement from the Warwick Republican Town Committee.

Flanders vs Whitehouse

According to a recent GoLocal poll conducted by John Della Volpe, Whitehouse has a commanding lead over Flanders and Robert Nardolillo.

According to the poll, Whitehouse is now above 50 percent in both match-ups and both former Supreme Court Justice Robert Flanders and Republican State Representative Bobby Nardolillo score in the low 30s.
