PHOTOS: General Assembly Holds Opening Session 2019

The Rhode Island General Assembly held its opening session on New Year’s Day to swear in members of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

This is the first time since 2013 that the opening of session falls on New Year’s Day.

It will not happen again until 2030.
