Poll: Race for Governor Still Virtually Tied

Chafee is maintaining a razor-thin, three-point lead over Frank Caprio in the race for governor, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released today. The poll showed Chafee with 33 percent support compared with 30 percent for Caprio.

Republican John Robitaille had 22 percent of the vote, while Moderate Party candidate Ken Block had 4 percent.

The survey of 750 likely voters was conducted on October 4. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 points.
