Second Poll: Loughlin Gaining on Cicilline

A WPRI-12 poll released yesterday put Cicilline at 48 percent and Loughlin at 42 percent. The survey of 250 likely voters had a margin of error of 6.2 percentage points. The results roughly mirror those of an NBC 10-Quest Research poll released the day before. It showed Cicilline at 42 percent and Loughlin at 40 percent support.
It’s a significant shift from a month ago, when Cicilline had a 19-point lead over Loughlin, with 48 percent support to Loughlin’s 29 percent, according to a Sept. 30 WPRI-12 poll.

"He basically did it by doing very well among independents. That's where he really picked it up."
The poll was conducted by Fleming & Associates.
