White House Press Secretary Sanders to Leave Administration at End of June

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is leaving the administration at the end of the month, President Donald Trump announced on Twitter.

“After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas. She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job. I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas - she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done,” wrote Trump in a Tweet.

About Sanders

Sanders was part of the 2016 Trump campaign’s communications team.

She served as deputy press secretary when Trump took office before she took over for Rhode Island’s Sean Spicer as press secretary in July of 2017.

According to CNBC, she last held a press briefing on March 11.
