And soon afterward, he had choice words for former teammate Tom Brady.

Brown Blasts Brady
“In a series of tweets, which have now been deleted, Brown called out Brady for working with Alex Guerrero, who has been Brady's personal trainer for more than a decade. In one tweet, Brown shared some text messages that he exchanged with Guerrero where the receiver asked the trainer to return $50,000 to him,” reported CBS Sports this week. “Apparently, Brown had paid $100,000 for the trainer's services, but felt that he should get half of the money back because Guerrero didn't fulfill his end of the deal.”
“This rant against Brady comes less than 72 hours after the quarterback came to Brown's defense,” CBS continued. “During his podcast on Monday, Brady was asked about Brown's shirtless exit from the Jets game and he made it clear that despite the drama, he still cares about his former teammate.”
On Thursday, Brown took to Twitter to backtrack his comments.
“Don’t get it twisted. My brothers have been good to me. From Tom to practice squad, we were a top-level unit. They have been good to me and knew nothing about my talks with coach last week. The team mishandled this situation. They let me down and, more importantly, my teammates,” Brown Tweeted.
On Friday, however, Brown was reportedly questioning Brady’s “friendship.”
“Antonio Brown questions Tom Brady's friendship, still wants to play in NFL despite breakup with Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” reported ESPN.
"To me, a friend is someone who's got your back," Brown said on the "Full Send Podcast" on Friday. "Not everybody in sports is going to be your friend. Tom Brady's my friend why? Because I'm a good football player. He needs me to play football. People have different meanings of what friendship is."
Former Patriot Takes Brady to Task
Last week, Brady came under fire from another former teammate — Julian Edelman.
“Is there trouble in paradise for Foxboro’s former favorite duo?” reported CBS in “Julian Edelman Reveals ‘Beef’ With Tom Brady, Picks Against Buccaneers As Repeat Super Bowl Champions.”
As CBS reported:
Edelman suggested that things aren’t all rosy between him and Brady at the moment.
“Nah, Tom hasn’t called me. And in fact, you know … we have a little beef right now,” Edelman said.
