PC Signs Kim English to 6-Year Contract

Kim English is the new coach of the Providence College Friars.

The deal is six years in length, and the dollars have not been disclosed. Former coach Ed Cooley was earning approximately $4 plus million when he resigned.

English leaves George Mason University to take the Friars' job.

As GoLocal has previously reported, English’s biggest booster for the Providence job has been Rick Barnes. 

An official press conference is not expected until next week.

One reason is to see if any of the existing Friars leave via the transfer portal.

Two 4-star recruits have already decommitted since Cooley's departure.
