In the game, the Bears were without senior forward Raphael Maia who sat out with a stomach bug that has recently been going through the team.

Chris Freeman led the Austin Peay Governors with 20 points in the win.
Browns next game will be on Friday, November 28th against Stephen F Austin or Prairie View at 2:30 p.m. as the Las Vegas Invitational continues.

Five Takeaways from Browns 79-58 Loss to Austin Peay
Hobbie gets Start
With Maia out for the game, Brown started three guards, putting J.R. Hobbie in the lineup to go along with Tavon Blackmon and Steven Spieth.
Hobbie played 23 minutes, the fewest of any of the starters, and took five shots, all of them three's and only made one of them.
Hobbie had one assist, one steal and one rebound in an uneffective 23 minutes of play.
Bench problems
Dockery Walker, Kyle Haber and Tyler Williams played 15, 15 and 11 minutes, respectively, and combined for a grand total of three points.
The Brown bench as a unit only had nine points in the game and seven turnovers and five rebounds.
The Bears bench was outscored 17-9 in the game.
Blackmon 2nd game back
Tavon Blackmon played his second game back from his previous hiatus and had an up and down game.
Blackmon had three points, three assists and three steals however his six turnovers puts a damper on his afternoon. Five of his turnovers came in the first half meaning that he got more comfortable as the game went on, scoring his three points in the second.
Will be interesting to see how he does in Browns next game on Friday, November 28.
Dissapearing act part 2?
With Maia out for this game, Brown needed a big game from their Defensive Ivy League Player of the Year and for the second straight game, he seemingly dissapeared in the second half.
Cedric Kuakumensah had five rebounds and 13 points in the first half, once again looking like he was on pace for a big game. Kuakumensah had 2 points and no rebounds the rest of the game. Pulling another dissapearing act.
This should be a concern for the Brown Bears and their fans.
To his credit, Kuakumensah did have four blocks in the game.
Second half problems
For the second straight game, the Bears have gone into halftime with a lead, 38-33 in this game, and for the second straight game the Bears have gotten completely outplayed in the second half resulting in a blowout loss.
In this game against Austin Peay, Brown was outscored 46-20 in the second half and committed eleven turnovers.
The Bears shot only 26 percent from the floor and 16 percent from beyond the three point arc in the second half. Meanwhile, the Governors shot just under 60 percent in the second half.
Brown is back in action on Friday, November 28, afternoon so they will have a chance to stop this trend.
