Cranston's Zobian Finishes 6th at World Series of Poker

Cranston native Aram Zobian finished sixth at the 2018 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

He was eliminated on Friday night, but takes home $1.8 million.

Zobian pushed his last 17 big blinds after the action folded to him in the small blind.

In his final hand, Zobian went in with an 8 and 6 of diamonds, but was beaten by Michael Dyer, who went in with Ace, 8.

Overall, Zobian played a total of 76 hours of poker over at nine-day space at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Zobian’s Poker Career

Prior to this World Series of Poker, Zobian had $112,011 in live tournament earnings, with 25 cashes on his record.

His largest winnings came at the Megastack Challenge event where he finished second and took home $47,000 earlier this year.
