Friars Soccer to Face UCLA in NCAA Final Four

The Providence College Friars men's soccer team advanced to the NCAA Final Four after beating Michigan State 3-2 on December 6 in East Lansing. The Friars knew they were headed to North Carolina no matter what, but now they know their opponent.

The 11 seeded Friars will face the second seeded UCLA Bruins on Friday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPNU.

UCLA got to the Final Four after beating North Carolina 7-6 in penalty kicks after the game was tied 3-3 through two overtime periods.

Leo Stolz leads the Bruins with nine goals and 12 assists on the season.

In their history, Providence has never faced UCLA in soccer and in fact, Providence has never faced a PAC-12 team in soccer.

The Friars have added a number of accomplishments and achieved numerous milestones throughout this run. They will look to add one more on Friday night.
