What are you looking forward to for this season?

This season I'm looking forward to seeing a group of boys that started in this program three years ago, play at a very competitive level. Our program is brand new to the school and this year's seniors are some of the first boy’s varsity volleyball players. We have been very successful the past two seasons finishing with a 9-7 and improving to 10-6. Both seasons we made the play-offs, but did not make it past the first round. I'm looking forward to that opportunity again this season.

What's been your greatest success as a coach?

My greatest success as a coach was in 2004. I coached 13 girls (2 sophomores and 9 freshman) in a R.I.V.C.A. 9th & 10th grade volleyball tournament. The girls won the tournament. It was a success because each member of the team played in that tournament and contributed to our success.

Who have been the best players you've coached?

Some of the best players I've coached Susan Cipoletti (04'), Kylie Swearingen (05'), Emily Anastasia (06'), Jared Andreozzi (07'), Miles Hughes (09'), Alyssa Madwed (10'), Gina Anderson (11'), Sean Farrell (11'), and Senai Hagos (11').

How do you motivate your players?

The best motivation I can give to a player is to share the amount of love I have for the game. My passion comes out during practice. I talk to them about upcoming matches on TV. I show them how much fun the game can be. When they see me having fun, they realize how much fun they could have too.
