The 11th-Hour Racing Team is preparing to race 36,000 miles around the world in the world’s longest sporting competition, The Ocean Race.
The preceding race -- The Volvo Ocean Race -- came to Newport in 2018 and brought more than a hundred thousand visitors to Rhode Island.
The race makes its only North American stop in Newport in 2023.
