Gronkowski Clears Concussion Protocol, Set to Play in Super Bowl 52

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been cleared from concussion protocol and is expected to play in Super Bowl LII on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. 

Gronkowski suffered the concussion in the third quarter of the Patriots AFC Championship victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on a hit by Barry Church.

He had been practicing with the team since Saturday.

Gronkowski in 2017-18

Gronkowski finished the regular season with 69 catches for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 regular season games.

Prior to suffering his concussion, Gronkowski has another seven catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.

This will be Gronkowski's second Super Bowl appearance of his career, after he missed last year's game against Atlanta with a back injury.
