International Tennis Hall of Fame Teams With 7 Local Charities to Launch Aces for Rhode Island
The participating charities include Boys and Girls Club of Newport County, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, Lucy's Hearth, Newport County YMCA, Redwood Library & Athenæum, Sail Newport and Year Up Providence.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame is also a non-profit organization, and as such, it is an institutional priority to serve with a philanthropic focus. It is important and it is our responsibility to give back to our community, and we are thrilled to be able to partner with these tremendous organizations. Aces for RI is an important step as we expand our philanthropic efforts," said Hall of Fame CEO Todd Martin.
Aces for Rhode Island
Through Aces for Rhode Island, the participating non-profits are soliciting pledges for every ace served on center court when the ATP World Tour comes to Newport in July.
Pledges start at 5 cents per ace, with the option to give more at the donor's choosing.
With approximately 300 aces expected, a 5-cent pledge will bring in at least a $15 donation and a $1 pledge could result in a $300 contribution designated to the participating charity of the donor's choice.
Aces for Rhode Island kicked off on Wednesday and will run through the tournament, which will be held July 15 to July 22, 2018.

Waterfire

As GoLocalProv reported, WaterFire will begin the 2019 season with a basin lighting on Thursday, May 23 or the National Association of State Treasurers Treasury Management Training Symposium and the first full lighting of the season will be Saturday, June 22.
Waterfire is Providence's signature event bringing in people from all over New England and the country to see it.
