Lamar Odom says he wants to be the University of Rhode Island’s men’s basketball head coach.

Odom, who played one season with Rams in the ‘90s and whose NBA career included turns with the Los Angeles Clippers -- and Lakers — made the remarks on Entertainment Tonight this week.

"I really want to be the head coach at the University of Rhode Island sooner than later," Odom said. "I can definitely make the program a winning situation, because right now they are not doing too good."

The Rams are currently 13-13 on the 2021-2022 season — and are 4-10 in conference play, and are coming off a three game losing streak.

Current head coach David Cox was named the 20th coach of the Rams program in April 2018, after four seasons as an assistant coach under Danny Hurley.

Odom’s comments to ET, however, weren’t focused on basketball — the interview focused on his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian and his time spent on Celebrity Big Brother.
