March Madness: Who Is Playing in Providence, Where Is Bryant Going

March Madness begins this week, and Providence is one of the hosts of the so-called second rounds of the NCAA basketball tournament.

Games in Providence are played on Thursday, March 20, and Saturday, March 22. One of the highlights is the return of Rick Pitino to Providence.

And Bryant University is the only Division I team in Rhode Island that will be playing in the Big Dance.

Bulldogs’ Battle

The Bulldogs will be traveling to Cleveland, Ohio to play Michigan State on Friday.

The Bulldogs are a #15 seed and the Spartans are a #2 seed.

This is Bryant's second NCAA tournament appearance.  Bryant lost to Wright State 93-82 in 2022.

#5 Clemson University v. #12 McNeese

#4 Purdue v. #13 High Point

The University of Rhode Island, Providence College, and Brown University will not be in the NCAA tournament in 2025.
