- Zdeno Chara was one of the best players ever to suit up for the Bruins. He led the Bs to one Stanley Cup victory and to two other finals. While Bobby Orr won two Cups and his offense-first defense transformed the game, Chara was a dominant player for 15 years playing big tough defense. Chara made the Bruins competitive year in and year out.

- We are seeing the history of the Celtics die before our eyes. Sadly, three Celtics greats have died in the past couple of months — Tom Heinsohn, K.C. Jones and Paul Westphal, who died at age 70 of brain cancer. He started his career with the Celts, but played most of his career with the Phoenix Suns and he was part of one of the greatest NBA games — the 3 OT game in the 1976 finals. The Celtics won the thriller and took the Championship. The Boston Coach was Heinshon. (And, just to bring it home, PC great Kevin Stacom played for the Celts that season.)

- The Friars are so dependent on Nate Watson and David Duke— two super talented players, but when one or both doesn’t play at top performance the Friars are in big trouble. Coach Ed Cooley has to get some consistent production from A.J. Reeves and others.

 

URI Rams Have So Much, But Are Producing Too Little

- The Rams have a lot of players. They also have no offense.
- They have a lot of speed but no fast break.
- URI has a lot of athleticism but no ability to press.

 

The Celtics Simply Are Not Very Good

- The Celtics are 4-3 and have been blown out by the Nets.
- They have lost to the winless Pistons.
- They won two of their four games on last second shots by Jason Tatum.
- The Celtics have not played a top-tier team like the Lakers or Clippers.
