Rhode Island native Cole Swider has signed a contract with the Miami Heat.

The Portsmouth native and St. Andrew’s alum was signed this week to a two-way contract with the NBA team.

“Swider shined in his Heat preseason series, which featured a 17-point fourth-quarter performance in their comeback win against the Charlotte Hornets. He averaged 11.2 points on 37 percent shooting from 3-point range. Hopefully, Swider can replicate Max Strus' sharpshooting from the arc,” reported Sports Illustrated
