Revs Nguyen Named To MLS Best XI

New England Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen has made the MLS Best XI for the 2014 season as was announced on Tuesday, by Major League Soccer.

Nguyen enjoyed a great season for the Eastern Conference Champion Revolution scoring 18 goals and earned an appearance with the U.S. National team.

Nguyen is also one of the finalists for the league's MVP award this season.

Nguyen is the first Revolution player to make the Best XI since 2009 when Shalrie Joseph made it in 2009. 

Nguyen took to twitter to show his appreciation for the honor:

 

Other players that were named to Best XI include Landon Donovan, Thierry Henry, Robbie Keane and Obafemi Martins of the Seattle Sounders, Chad Marshall, Omar Gonzalez, Bobby Boswell, Bill Hamid, Diego Valeri and Bradley Wright-Phillips. 

The New England Revolution take on the LA Galaxy on Sunday, December 7 in LA  in the MLS Cup Championship game.
