Starks Jumper with 1.3 Seconds Left Lifts Bryant Over Denver, 48-46

The Bryant Bulldogs men's basketball team (3-5) defeated the (5-7) Denver Pioneers 48-46 on Sunday afternoon in Denver. After losing four straight, the Bulldogs have won two games in a row as conference play nears.

With the game tied 46-46, senior, Dyami Starks knocked down a pull up jumper with 1.3 seconds left in the game to give Bryant a 48-46 win over Denver. That basket was two of the five points that Starks scored in the final 22 seconds of the game.

Starks led the Bulldogs with 21 points in the game on seven of 18 shooting from the field including six three-pointers. This is the fourth game of the last five in which Dyami Starks has had at least 20 points.

Cam Griffin led the Pioneers with 14 points in the game, knocking down all eight of his free throws.

Bryant returns to action on New Years Eve when they host Dartmouth at 1 p.m.. at the Chace Athletic Center.
