URI Football Loses in Playoffs to UC Davis 47-26

The URI Rams football season came to an end on Saturday.
The University of Rhode Island football team lost to UC Davis on Saturday 47-26, ending the Rams' run for the championship.

The 11-3 Rams led early in the second quarter before the "Gunrocks" scored 36 unanswered points.

In the first meeting ever between the two programs, UC Davis outscored RI 29-6 in the final 30 minutes to win the NCAA Football Championship Series second-round playoff game.

Game Highlights

URI quarterback Devin Farrell was 22-of-40 for 294 yards and two touchdowns - and no turnovers.

Antwain Littleton, Jr. rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns. With his second rushing touchdown of the game, Littleton, Jr. set the single-season program record with 14 on the year.

Marquis Buchanan had four catches for 109 yards and one touchdown. 

According to URI, he joins Brian Forster (284) and Aaron Parker (216) as the only players in program history with 200 or more career catches.
