Warwick North Set For Little League Softball World Series Title Game Tonight

Warwick North softball will take on North Carolina for the Little League Softball World Series Championship tonight at 9 p.m. eastern time in Portland, Oregon. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.

Warwick defeated Central 5-4 on Tuesday to advance to the Championship game, while North Carolina defeated Texas to punch their ticket to the title game.

Warwick received a big two RBI base hit in the fourth inning by Alyssa Richard to build themselves a comfortable lead but Iowa came back in the final inning to tighten things up. Warwick would get back to back strikeouts from Emily Carter to seal the win and advance to the title match.

Warwick North made the World Series for the first time ever, going undefeated while winning the Rhode Island District 3 Championship, the Rhode Island State Championship and the Eastern Regional Championship.
