Bank of America CEO to Appear At Darrell West Lecture Series

Bank of America Chief Executive Officer Brian Moynihan will speak at the annual Darrell West Lecture Series on Religion and Politics on Thursday, February 12 at 6pm at Central Congregational Church in Providence.  The event is free.  

Moynihan leads one of the world's largest financial institutions.  He serves on several leadership councils focused on economic trends and policy-making, including the World Economic Forum International Business Council, Bi-Partisan Policy Center CEO Council on Health and Innovation, and Financial Services Forum, which he chairs.  He is also a member of the Museum Council for the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture.  An alumnus of Brown University, he was elected to the board of trustees in 2010.

Darrell West, Brookings Institution Senior Vice President
The Darrell West Lecture Series, sponsored by Brookings Institution senior vice president and former Brown professor Darrell M. West, aims to provide an open forum on the intersection between religion and politics.  At Thursday’s lecture, Dr. West and Mr. Moynihan will engage in a discussion about leadership and the current economy, as well as the role of philanthropy and corporate social responsibility.

Previous speakers in the Darrell West Lecture Series include author and activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali; Washington Post columnist and Georgetown University professor E.J. Dionne, Jr.; Mara Liasson, national political correspondent at NPR; Juan Williams, former senior news analyst at NPR; and renowned Princeton University scholar and author of "The Gnostic Gospels," Dr. Elaine Pagels.
