The law firm of Brennan, Recupero, Cascione, Scungio and McAllister (BRCSM) announced the addition of attorneys Jon M. Anderson and Janne Reisch to the Providence office.

Jon Anderson 

Anderson joins the firm as of counsel. He spent 28 years as an attorney at a regional law firm. He has nearly three decades of experience with a focus on education, antitrust and tax law. He is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Anderson is counsel to numerous public school districts, public charter schools and private schools in Rhode Island. He has represented them in highly sensitive matters in the public spotlight and appears regularly in state and federal courts and before the RI Department of Education. Anderson handles matters under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. He has successfully represented school districts in special education placement disputes, controversies over healthcare obligations to employees, and governance matters.

Anderson provides business advice regarding antitrust compliance and franchising. He worked on federal and state antitrust criminal and civil matters involving price fixing, monopolization, refusals to deal, and exclusive dealing. He has represented individuals, estates and firms in United States Tax Court and before the Rhode Island Division of Taxation.

He received his JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1988) and his under graduate degree, magna cum laude, from Brown University (1983). A resident of Pawtucket, Anderson is a member of the Board of Directors of Alliance Blackstone Valley Federal Credit Union. 

Janne Reisch 

Janne Reisch
Reisch joins the firm as an associate. She focuses on education matters – including special education  — as well as family law and municipal law. She is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

In her prior practice, Reisch protected the rights of special education children and their parents in various venues including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and hearings at the Department of Education. Additionally, she handled child immigrant issues.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Reisch had a successful career in the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry.  She is a chemical engineer and, most recently, worked in quality control at a large pharmaceutical company. 

She is a summa cum laude graduate of the University Of Massachusetts School Of Law (2015); received an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY (2002); received her Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from FH Fresenius in Weisbaden, Germany (1992).

A resident of Westerly, Reisch serves on the Board of Directors of the Jonnycake Center in Westerly and its governance committee. The Jonnycake Center’s mission is to provide a continuum of services in cooperation with other agencies in its service area to assist people through crisis situations and to work with each individual to find a path out of dependency toward self-sufficiency. She is an active member of the South County Chapter of the League of Women Voters.
