CCRI Appoints Kellie Ann Wright as New Director of Marketing and Communications
Kellie Ann Wright PHOTO: LinkedInThe Community College of Rhode Island has appointed Kellie Ann Wright as its new Director of Marketing and Communications.
With more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, Wright brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the college. In her new role, she is responsible for modernizing CCRI’s brand identity, expanding its reach, increasing enrollment, and fostering engagement with its stakeholders and the community.
Wright said she is excited to join the college's mission and is committed to increasing accessibility and creating educational opportunities for all Rhode Islanders while strengthening the state's workforce and creating an economic impact.
She graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland University and has held key positions at prominent organizations such as Morgan Stanley, NYSE Euronext, and Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
From 2020–2023, Wright served as the Chief Marketing Officer at the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the airport's regional presence, increasing air service, redeveloping the RIAC website, overseeing the rebranding and name change implementation, and advertising platforms to substantially increase enplanements. Wright also led a video project to highlight and unite local dignitaries and the community in celebrating the airport's history and 90th anniversary.
At Morgan Stanley, Wright served as the firm’s first Vice President of Brand Marketing Manager, where she led efforts to revitalize the brand and change its image from a big blue bank to a more socially minded and people-oriented one. As a marketing consultant for the Ricciardi Group, she contributed to its surge as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America, recognized internationally by Inc. Magazine, The Financial Times, and Forbes’ “Next 1000” initiative that highlights “upstart entrepreneurs redefining the American dream.”
