Fall River Taps Two RI Firms for Branding

While Rhode Island officials went to New York to find branding resources, the City of Fall River came over the Braga Bridge to tap two top Rhode Island firms to help. 

On Monday, Mayor Jasiel Correia announced that the City of Fall River has selected EGN Consulting of Lincoln, RI to run a new branding campaign. EGN has partnered with Figmints of Pawtucket, RI to assist it with the branding component needs. Rick Simone President of EGN Consulting and James Kwon CEO of Figmints joined the Mayor to talk about the opportunity in rebranding Fall River.

“This new campaign holds proud opportunities for the citizens of Fall River to showcase the city and ‘tell our story.’ It also provides opportunities to the grow of the city through increased tourism and economic development opportunities," said Mayor Correia.

In addition, Correia announced the formation of an eight-person volunteer committee on Marketing and Tourism to be co chaired by Councilman Steve Long and Simone. "On behalf of the Fall River City Council we look forward to the positive outcomes this will have for our city. I’m happy to co-chair this committee made up of Fall River residents and business leaders,” said Councilman Steve Long.

One goal is to form a new non-profit organization to implement the results from the branding, marketing and event plans. Plans for signature city events will be worked on as part of the overall goals.
