How Do Twin River Casino and Plainridge Park Casino Match Up?
Plainridge Park Casino has opened in Plainville, MA as the first casino in Massachusetts. In light of that, GoLocalProv took a look at how the newly opened facility compares to nearby Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI.
The two gambling facilities are roughly a 30 minute drive apart and will be in direct competition with each other for business along the Rhode Island and Massachusetts border.
“I would like to officially welcome players to Massachusetts’ first gaming facility,” said Tim Wilmott, President and CEO of Penn National Gaming today at an opening ceremony for Plainridge Park Casino.
“We’re thrilled for guests from throughout Massachusetts and beyond to experience Plainridge Park’s unique style of premier gaming, dining, and entertainment in a luxurious and modern atmosphere. Importantly, it has been an honor to be welcomed by Plainville and the surrounding communities as we partnered with the Commonwealth in creating new jobs, returning revenue to the people of Massachusetts, and creating a new economic engine right here where it is so needed,” Wilmott said.
How The Casinos Were Compared
Categories such as payout percentage, number of slot machines, and hours of operation were among those key factors considered for the comparison.
