J's Deli is best known for having top-quality oversized deli sandwiches.

This is just the latest of dozens of locally owned RI restaurants to close due to COVID or the linked to the shortage of workers.

The local chain posted:

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are running extremely short-staffed. Being that your safety and health has been and will always be our #1 priority, we are not hiring any new employees at this time as they would not be able to have been vetted enough by us.

We have made the prudent & difficult decision to temporarily close the Cumberland location, and due to lack of finding staff, we have closed Woonsocket.
