Former Patriot Gronkowski Announces Role of Paid Spokesman for CBD Company

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is now a paid spokesman for a CBD company. Gronkowski announced that he will be partnering with CBD Medic brand of Abacus Medical Solutions Products on Tuesday morning in a press conference in New York City.
"I decided to walk away from the game for one main reason: I had to recover. That's why you haven't seen me in five months. I've been rebuilding myself and finding a new way,” said Gronkowski during his press conference.

In the past, Gronkowski has also been in Dunkin' Donut commercials and done appearances for other brands.
Gronkowski added that he wants to be an advocate for getting CBD approved in all major professional sports.
It is currently a banned substance in the NFL.
"I'm here today to appeal to the sports governing bodies of the world to update their position on CBD, whether that's the NBA, MLB or NFL. It's just time,” Gronkowski added.
“We’re proud to partner with one of the football’s greatest tight ends of all time,” said Abacus CEO Perry Antelman. “Gronk’s passion for living life to the fullest while maintaining a healthy, natural, and pain-free lifestyle aligns perfectly with the mission of our company. Abacus is focused on providing safe, natural, and effective relief for millions of Americans in need of recovery.”
Gronkowski Doesn’t Rule Out Return
During the press conference, Gronkowski did not rule out a return to the NFL in the future.
“Physically, I can do it. Mentally, desire-wise, I can’t. If that changes, that’ll be the time. It maybe never. But you know me,” said Gronkowski.
He added, “It could be the case in six months, it could be the case in two years, it could be in three years. But I truly don’t see it in the foreseeable future.”
These comments come after much speculation this offseason of a possible return to the Patriots.
"I want to be clear to my fans, I needed to recover. I was not in a good place. Football was bringing me down and I didn't like it. I am very satisfied with where I am in life now,” Gronkowski said.
