NEW: Thundermist CEO Steps Down

It is the latest change in the healthcare industry in Rhode Island.
She has been removed from the company’s website. Neither LaChance nor the healthcare agency responded to questions.

The community health organization has grown over the past decade from $39 million to $121 million in revenue, according to IRS filings. The organization has facilities in Woonsocket, West Warwick, Providence, and South Kingstown.
In May 2017, she was appointed by the Thundermist Board of Directors lead the agency.
LaChance previously served as Thundermist’s Chief Financial Officer, where she was responsible for all aspects of the agency’s financial, IT, human resource, compliance and facilities functions. Prior to joining Thundermist in 2013, she served as the Interim CEO of Westerly Hospital, where she assisted the Special Master with the development of a turnaround plan, bridge analysis and a court-supervised sale process and transition. She also served as the hospital’s Executive Vice President and COO, and Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Operations between the years of 2004 and 2012. She previously served as the CFO at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY.
She has her BS in Accounting from Canisius College in NY and her M.B.A. from Salve Regina University. She serves as a Board Finance Committee Member of NHPRI, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the RI Public Expenditure Council (RIPEC).
