Now in its 12th year, the Seasons’ Pass program invites a local artist to create an original work of art for the Rhode Island Blood Center, prints of which are distributed to four time a year donors and framed prints to major sponsors.

For 2013-14 (March 1, 2013 – Feb. 28, 2014, the Seasons’ Pass year), Washington Trust held 28 blood drives at its main headquarters and branches, collecting 181 pints of blood. Since each pint of blood is separated into three components – red cells, platelets and plasma – each donation potentially can save up to three lives, which means the 181 donations helped 543 people. Since this program began in 2003, Washington Trust has collected 1,003 pints of blood, potentially saving 3,009 lives.
