RI's MedMates to Host "Startup Law 101" for Health-Tech December 8

MedMates, Rhode Island’s first healthcare technology network, will be conducting a new workshop as a part of their “For the Love of Entrepreneurship” series entitled “Startup Law 101 for Health-Tech” starting  December 8. 

The workshop will be held at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will feature industry panelists who will share their knowledge of the most common mistakes entrepreneurs in the biotechnology space make. 

Areas of focus will be on how to properly protect your intellectual property (IP), equity arrangements among founders of a company, and choosing appropriate corporate vehicles for a business.

Panelists

Panelists will include: Al Feeney -Biotech and Intellectual Property Attorney at Feeney Law,  Ted Howell - founder at Howell Legal, and Jodi McLane - Medical Device Intellectual Property Attorney at Dingman, McInnes and McLane

The workshop will be monitored by Nick Adams, Co-Founder and President, Care Thread, Inc.
